Wedding Day

Love is in the air and it had me thinking about my wedding day! My husband and I were married here in Boulder 2 1/2 years ago and we had the best experience with our vendors. We’ve had a lot of questions about wedding details and our recommendations, and I thought this was the perfect time to share the details!

Here is the list of our vendors, and I will elaborate on them down below:

Location: The Greenbriar Inn

Cake: The Greenbriar Inn

Flowers: Fiori Flowers

Band: The Diamond Empire Band

Harpist: Mary Keener

Hair: Studio Be Salon

Makeup: Alchemy Face Bar

Dress: Bridal Connection

Photographer: James Moro Photography (he no longer lives in CO)

Transportation: Banjo Billy Bus & CU busses

Guest accommodations: Hotel Boulderado

The bridal party started our day at Studio Be Salon. They allowed us to bring in makeup artists from Alchemy Face Bar, so we just had a one stop shop! We loved that they had so many hair stylists on staff and could accommodate about 6 girls at a time. We were able to bring in our own food and drinks and we had a nice relaxing morning. Alchemy Face Bar made all my bridesmaids look fabulous. They were really efficient and had us ready with more than enough time to spare. Shayna did my wedding hair, but she no longer works at Studio Be. You can find her at Trivium Salon in Louisville and she is AMAZING!

Unfortunately, our photographer doesn’t live in CO anymore, but here are some details about our pre-wedding photography locations. We did a ‘first look’ at our Airbnb and then jumped on the Banjo Billy Bus with our wedding party. Our first stop was Chautauqua and then we headed over to the Foothills Community Park. The Greenbriar has some great photo ops too since it’s up against the foothills!

Of all our wedding details, our flowers were my favorite. Fiori flowers did an excellent job and were so easy to work with. They even delivered the flowers and arch and set everything up so it was no stress on the big day. I don’t think photos even do them justice, but here are some closeups:

We chose The Greenbriar Inn for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. It was really a no-brainer when we saw their incredible work from previous weddings. They provide all food and the cake and we’ve had so many people tell us it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had! We loved the idea of being able to have our guests all in the same location from start to finish since 99% of guests were from out of town. Our ceremony was gorgeous and up against the mountains. It flowed right into our cocktail hour on the patio with drinks and hors d’oeuvres. From there we moved inside for an epic reception. What we loved  most about the Greenbriar is they kept everything flowing so perfectly. We even had our own waitress who made sure we had our drink of choice in hand and were satisfied throughout the entire reception.

The Band

This was a highlight of our wedding for both us and our guests. For our ceremony and cocktail hour, we had a harpist, Mary Keener. She had little direction from us but nailed it. We had a lot of people comment on their harpist and how magical it made our ceremony. As for the band, we went with the Diamond Empire Band. They also had little direction from us, and they kept people dancing all night long! They really got the crowd engaged and the female singer even came out into the crowd a couple times. We LOVED them. You can check them out at some of their mini sessions they play for those interested in hiring them for their wedding. Can’t recommend them enough.

This was a tough one for us. We hired the local Banjo Billy Bus Tours for the wedding party. In hindsight maybe not the best choice since they did not have windows on our bus (Hello crazy hair). It was really fun and unique though. We hired CU buses for our wedding guests. We had a close family member who was a CU alumni, so they gave ya a discount on bus rentals. The best part about CU busses is they don’t charge you for the entire duration of your ceremony/reception like most companies. They simply charge you on the time you’re actually using the busses, which really is only a couple hours.

Phew. I think that’s it! If you have any particular questions about my vendors, leave a comment below and I’d be happy to answer. We were so lucky to have each of these vendors because our wedding day really went off without a hitch! And s/o to my handsome husband who is often a face behind the scenes of Mountains and Mimosas. #instagramhusband
