The Greenbriar Inn

8735 N. Foothills Highway, Boulder, Colorado, 80302

The Greenbriar Inn is nestled up against the foothills near Left Hand Canyon and has views for days. The patio is like a secret garden, with plants and flowers and even a cute fountain. In fact, the outdoor space is what sold one of us (Celia) on using the Greenbriar Inn as a wedding venue! The food is spectacular, the cocktails refreshing, and the patio, one of a kind. They are technically a fine dining restaurant, but they have an incredible happy hour. If you are a brunch lover, their weekend brunch buffet, complete with seafood, prime rib, and bottomless cocktails, is a must!

Schnepf’s Restaurant

3050 Illinois St. Golden, CO 80401

We just recently found out about Schnepf’s and were blown away that we hadn’t heard about it sooner! Located in Golden, this patio overlooks a golf course and has spectacular mountain views. Although it is on the golf course, it’s still open to the public. We dined in for lunch and really loved everything we tried, our favorites being the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and the Wine Maker Salad. We plan to return soon to try their weekend brunch, with $1 mimosas!!

Rayback Collective

2775 Valmont Rd, Boulder, CO 80304

The Rayback Collective is a food truck park/beer garden/backyard party and is in a league of it’s own. You really do feel like you are just hanging out in a friend’s (very large) backyard, with string lights, fire pits, and yard games. There’s really something for everyone, with multiple food trucks and a bar that serves local brews and draft cocktails. The owners recently opened Improper City in Denver with a similar concept and it also has a fabulous patio!

Ironton Distillery

3636 Chestnut Pl, Denver, CO 80216

Ironton has successfully created an “urban oasis”. This patio is unreal. First off, it’s huge. They’ve put so much love into the space, you will want to hang out all day. There are multiple fire pits, antique pieces, and even an art gallery (for real). They’re also one of the only distilleries that can serve wine and beer. Oh, and they serve G&Ts in giant fish bowls and have a fantastic happy hour. Need we say more?

Acreage

1380 Horizon Ave, Lafayette, CO 80026

Acreage successfully brings the “urban cider house” feel to the countryside. It’s located up on a hill with sprawling, unobstructed mountain views. You can enjoy Stem’s delicious cider around fire pits and truly feel like you are out in the country. This is one of our go-to spots for out-of-town guests because it really is one of a kind. It’s also super family and dog friendly. We highly recommend going in the evening to watch the sunset!
