Cozy Patios for Winter Dining
The end of cold weather is in sight! We’ve put together a list of cozy patios for winter dining to get you through in the meantime. Seeing as we now live in Arvada & Broomfield, our roundup is focused on the small businesses in our new hoods. There are a few lists with Boulder & Denver outdoor dining already out there, so we’ve included those at the end!

Roots
This hidden gem in Broomfield is a wedding venue turned restaurant. They have fabulous food - everything ranging from traditional brunch to a Cultural Menu of the Month. We highly recommend the Hibiscus Lamb Chops. Plus, it doesn’t get cozier than these outdoor igloos!
Heated Greenhouses & the Pear and Prosciutto Ravioli
Scalzotto Italian Restaurant
If you’re looking for Italian food, it doesn’t get more authentic than this! Our waitress informed us that Scalzotto’s is owned by a husband & wife that moved here from Italy. The pasta is homemade and we highly recommend the pear and prosciutto ravioli. These heated greenhouses get super toasty, so much that we didn’t even need a jacket. Added bonus, they are dog friendly!
Vinca Wine Bar
Vinca is high up on our list of places we plan to try, especially because of this patio setup. Vinca has fabulous reviews on Yelp and OpenTable, and we have heard great reviews from friends as well. We are both wine lovers, so we will be stopping in ASAP! Not only that, but Vinca opened in 2020 — a tough year to start a restaurant! Show them some love if you’re in the area.

School House Kitchen & Libations
This is a first - you can dine in an actual school bus in Downtown Arvada restaurant! School House also has igloo dining as well as fire pits on their patio. We recommend the nutty goat dip, poutine, and the pastrami pretzel sandwich!

So Radish
Another spot we are dying to try! So Radish in Arvada has a 100% plant-based menu. They have brunch, a daily happy hour, and vegan wine! We love these outdoor cabanas. We spoke to the restaurant and were told the cabanas have small space heaters, but they suggest you dress warmly and bring blankets if you want!
