Virtual Wine Tasting

We decided to do a virtual wine tasting with our Wander and Ivy wine, and we had so much fun we wanted to share the details with you! We plan to make this a weekly tradition. Tasting Tuesday has a nice ring to it right?! Make sure you check out our video of the tasting at the end of the post!

We used Wander and Ivy wine because first of all, it’s delicious, but it also comes in single-serving bottles. This is perfect so you don’t have to open four full bottles of wine (or hey, maybe that’s more your style?) Wander and Ivy partners with family-owned vineyards all over the world to produce organic wines. Here is a store locator so you can grab some yourself!

After you have your wines (we tried 4 different varieties) you’ll want to order them from light to full-bodied whites, rosés, and then light to full-bodied reds. We used this guide to order them correctly. We used Zoom to host our wine tasting, but you could use your preferred platform. We would recommend using a platform with the ability to screen share. We used this free wine tasting PDF to guide us through our tasting, and we were able to fill it out together.

You can really be creative in how you host your tasting, but we will give you a little rundown of how we did ours. We decided to note the aromas and flavors we each experienced on our wine tasting form. Another thing we love about Wander and Ivy wine is that it actually tells you the aromas and flavors on the back of each bottle. It was really fun to try it out ourselves and see how close we were to getting it right! Hint: Wine Folly has a great flavor wheel if you need some ideas. So, without further adieu, here is a short video of our wine tasting!:

We highly recommend hosting your own virtual tasting! We think this could work for a beer tasting as well and plan to try that out in the future. Let us know any ideas you have for “Tasting Tuesday” and we will give the, a try!
